Obscure Education and Event Center is located in the historic village of Weyerhaeuser, which was founded in 1884 and named in honor of the timber mogul, Frederick Weyerhaeuser.
Weyerhaeuser shifted his focus westward and founded the Weyerhaeuser Timber Company in 1900 in Washington State. Today, the Weyerhaeuser Company is worth over $18 billion and has long forgotten its Midwest roots.
